WEEKLY UPDATE 05.18.18

This is going to be a fun Sunday for our church family!

First of all, we will be having a potluck lunch following service to say our "see you laters" to Drew and Kayla Bouillon and Bob and Janice Elliott as they move on to the next chapters in their lives. We will be providing BBQ chicken and you can sign up for what you'd like to bring to the potluck here:

We will also be having the Men's Bake-off this Sunday! All men of Missio, please bake up your best desserts and enter them to win all bragging rights and a prize. We will be auctioning off the desserts after service as well to raise funds to help our Missio Youth to get to camp!

UPCOMING:

MISSIO U

Beginning June 10, Missio Dei Community - South Jordan will be offering additional classes on a different topic each month. Take a look at our first class!

Christ and Culture
How Does the Church approach the Culture Wars?

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." (Romans 12:8)

In a society that is becoming increasingly polarized regarding religion, how is the Body of Christ to engage people? What can we learn from how Jesus and his disciples engaged people in their world, and how do we translate that to a culture that is so far removed from the one in which they lived. Join us on this four week study as we look at three distinct pieces of the society around us, and how the Church is called to engage with each of them.
